Relaxing in the Keys

We have truly been relaxing to the fullest extent!  We had breakfast the other morning at Henrietta’s.  Take a look at that huge cat head biscuit.  Yes I said “cat head biscuit”.  There is truly such a thing.  Cathead biscuits are a Southern staple whose name refers to their large size (about as big as a cat’s head). The dough for this hand-rolled biscuit recipe is made by incorporating flour into the wet ingredients, instead of the reverse.

The picture of Scooter laying his head on the green and white pillow is special to us.  Carlee Lyons (our friend’s dear daughter) personally made this pillow for me before she left to move back to NH.  I love it and as you can see, Scooter does too.  We went to Snook’s last night to see the sunset, but it was a bit too early for us…so we headed over to Sharkey’s for wings and to watch the dive boats come in.  Jeff went out last night and threw the reel a couple of times at the dock at the RV Park, but the water was a bit rough.

Brad and Courtney are driving down later tonight, so you will get to see some other smiling mugs besides ours.  We have a good weekend planned so we can’t wait to share it!
