Hiked up to cascade falls this afternoon. Kim made a friend to talk to (chipmunk) while I was trying to get higher up the falls.

There were several hikers out today enjoying the perfect weather here in Ouray. If you like to hike, this is the place.

You have to look close but Kim found someone to talk to while I was climbing up the waterfall. Bottom right hand corner, zoom in.

Our walk on the way to downtown Ouray. We never get tired of the view. Some how Kim gets in all the pics.

We did our morning walk to downtown Ouray. The temp was 68 and felt great.

I tried to get Kim to walk up to the waterfall but she said that would be a driving trip. Maybe tomorrow.

Beavers were busy during the night. This is along the river walk that runs through the town of Ouray. It also backs up to the rv park.

There are 2 mines in this pic on the side of the mountain. See how long it takes you to find them. This is across from the RV park in Ouray.

We went up to Governor Basin today. I thought we were going to Target in Montrose. But needless to say when Jeff turned right out of our new home away from home I knew something was up. I had no advance warning we were driving up a gravel dirt road on the side of a mountain. I didn’t even have my mountain woman clothes on. No extra snacks for nutrition. No canteens full of water. Nothing! Luckily we made it down and then went to Montrose and I found a ROSS and JCPenney there!!! Ahhhhhhhhh!! That was nice!! Anyway enjoy the pics!! They are some of the most beautiful so far!

Nothing like taking a road you’ve never been down before.

Kim was a good sport today, I don’t think she was scared of the drive. Well, when the road came to crossing the creek with snow on the other side she said it was time to turn around. It was still a great afternoon just being with Kim sight seeing.

We took a ride up the mountain. About half way up it started to snow. Kim got nervous and said we needed to head back. Her biggest concern? Getting stuck with no food.

Jeff failed to post the pictures of me that are cute. He posts a video where I look like I am about to have a seizure. He said I didn’t want any part of the video, I couldn’t speak at the time. Lol. These are the pics before the rain came over the mountain and swallowed us.
