Little over 500 miles traveled today. No major hiccups and nothing really scenic yet. We did see the rice fields with the crawfish traps which was interesting. Only one stop, which is kind of unreal for me. We are now parked at the safest Walmart in Alexandria, LA and we are about to eat veggie burgers and enjoy some much needed sleep.

5/13/18 Mississippi and Louisiana
No stops so far! It’s really nice having a rolling kitchen and bathroom!!! We just passed the Louisiana state line! Traffic has its ups and downs.

But so far so good!!
5/13/18. Leaving Florida and entering Alabama.
138 miles down in 2.5 hours. Bring on Mississippi!

05/13/2018. On the road!!
We left at 9 am CST this morning. It was bittersweet leaving our friends and family. We are excited about the adventure we are just beginning, but it’s sad to leave what we know. We hope to make it to Alexandria, LA tonight.

Our Journey Begins – Going from Beaching to Jeeping and RVing!
April 25, 2018 – Decisions…decisions! We recently made the decision to make our life an adventure! We were trapped in the hustle and bustle of this “life” so to speak. Work and home, work and home, weekend, do it all again! We pondered many things from boating around the Great Loop, to renting homes on VRBO and staying in other states for several months at the time. Then we started researching RV’s and realized that this would be a better option for us long term. My husband has traveled most of his adult life due to his employment, however I haven’t. We want to travel together and make memories that will last a lifetime. We also want to document our travels for our family and friends. We have the absolute best family and friends who support us 100% in our decision! We are making a decision that many have discussed, but never took the first step to get started due to one reason or another and now they aren’t able to do it. We made the decision to take off to Ouray, Colorado for the summer! We leave in mid May!! Ouray is a beautiful little town in the Southwest corner of Colorado in the San Juan Mountains range. Population is around 1,000 people. We are going to workamp at an RV Park for our site rental and we are so excited about this opportunity. We have looked at each other in the last two months and wondered WHAT ARE WE DOING? ARE WE REALLY DOING THIS?? ARE WE NUTS?? But, we just reassure ourselves that this is the best decision we could have ever made and GO WITH IT!! We have done our research and we are ready to conquer the RV lifestye! We will post more as the departure date approaches!! Hope you enjoy our blog – Jeeping and RVing!
